Drum Rolls

Have you ever wondered what the fuel tank trailer was made from? Consider the huge pipes you saw in...

We have invested over the years in many plate roll machines to increase our plate rolling precision. This allows us to offer our customers more - large, precise custom work in any size or shape.

Because they are less dependent upon operator competence, four roll plate roll roller machines are more precise, efficient, versatile, quicker, safer, and simpler to operate than the three-roll plate rolling machinery. Our four roll bending machines offer the most precise and fastest plate roller machines.

Three-roll Initial Pinch Bending Machine: There are two types of this machine. Three-roller initial pinch bending machine uses all three rolls to move and tilt. It also has one pressing top roll, two pressing sides rolls, and two pressing side rolls. The top roll is in the straight plane, while the sides move in the flat plane. The top toll pushes metal plates between the two sides rolls during the rolling process. The three tolls have the advantage of being able to roll cylinders of different thicknesses and sizes.

The toughened rolls are placed in a pitching location with the workpiece. A third, or more often fourth, roll is then placed between the two rolls to push the material to the first bend.

Our manual rolls benders are slip machines that can form curved parts or roll sheet metal tubes of different sizes and shapes. Additional accessories include ground or precision turned hardened roll. You can learn more about the complete range of manual slip roll benders today.

Upper Roller

It is important to note that a machine that can form 1" (25MM), Grade-50 steel plate won't work well when trying to roll 16GA material. A machine designed to run 1/4' (6MM) X4’ (1250MM), material will not be able to roll 1" (25MM), or any material greater than 4'. When choosing the right size plate roll, there are several important things to remember:

The motion form of the plate rolling machine can be categorized into two forms; main and auxiliary movement. The main movement includes the movement of the upper and lower rollers enabling the machine to rotate and bend the flat plate- this completes the operation task of the machine. The auxiliary movement consists of loading, unloading, and lifting of the upper roller, the lifting, and turning of the headstock while rolling the plate.

The 4-roll bending machines can transform flat sheet into spherical or cone-shaped bodies. Four roll plate benders are more productive, reliable, safe, flexible, and easy to use than any other. Once the material has been pinched, the two pinched rollers on either side of it do the job without the need to remove the plate or rotate it. They can roll up 8 inch thick plate steel. The majority of them will have CNC controllers so they can handle complex shapes like elliptic workpieces and polycentric workpieces. Their biggest advantage is that they can work with a wide range sheet metals and can take high degrees of automation. They can also roll tube segments and ovals as well as rounded boxes and other forms.

Our Plate Rolling Machines can replace your old workhorse. Our Plate Rolls bend stainless and mild steel as well as other metals.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are seven typical methods of bending in the industry: induction bending, rotary-draw/compression bending, roll bending, plate rolling, point bending / gag pressing, synchronized incremental bending, and hot bending (using induction or other heating sources).

Based upon the rolling process, rolling mills are classified as (i) reversing mill, (ii) semi continuous mills, (iii) continuous mills, and (iv) tandem mill. Reversing mills are those rolling mills in which the rolling direction changes after each pass.

There are different types of extrusion processes, however, including cold, hot, friction and micro. Cold Extrusion. With cold extrusion, metal is forced through the die while at or near room temperature. ... Hot Extrusion. ... Friction Extrusion. ... Micro Extrusion.

This defect occurs due to the self-equilibrating residual stresses that result from the rolling process. During center buckling, fibers at the center of the metal piece are longer than those at the edges. In an event where hot or cold mills have too much crown, mills roll out at the center.
